6.80 discounted jeepney fare.?
Someone please enlighten me.
The other day, I saw a jeepney fare matrix. It states that the minimum fare (for the first 4km) would be P8.50. The discounted fare (that would be for students i guess) is P6.80.
Here's what's confusing, i tried paying P6.80. The driver didn't accept the .80. He was asking for a solid P7. Why would they ask for P6.80 if they won't accept it?
Why don't they just ask for P7 instead of P6.80?
Choco, I'm not after my .20. I'm curious with what the people where thinking around the time they thought of fixing the fare ng 6.80.

the approved discount is 20%. if regular fare is 8.50php then students and seniors pay 6.80php (20% off regular fare). if you have right change and driver refuse to accept, leave your money and get down at your stop.
